Let me tell you a story...

about how the new comic was created! .....
Finally I started drawing a romance story! München 1945 is finally online! And in english!

I always wanted to draw something romancy....but never had the courage to do it. I just thought about the tons of mainstream romance/shojo stories and said to myself "Why should my story be different? " And the first idea was indeed mainstream

First rough sketches. Very inspired by the TV Show "Downton Abbey". Setting England 1920. Rich girl fells in love with a servant. But of course, this relationship is a true "no-go" by that time. Simple story about how they meet, fell in love, spending time..etc...But i wasn't that satisfied. And so I began to skim a view history books about WWII. I always loved the idea placing a romance story during or after war. And where -I do believe- "Love at the first sight" sill existed.The female role could be acting strong but also weak. Plus i could take a setting which I'm familiar with: Munich.
Searching for facts was so much fun and I'm hoping to do a intersting and loving romance story!

And yeah the girl looks like Eileen from my other comic "When Worlds Collide". I'm so sorry for being that uninspired. But the thing is, I need a character which I'm familiar with. It's very important to me for drawing romance :) Still, I'll try not to copy her 100%.
But I thought of it as a little Spin-Off to "When Worlds Collide" You might ask how? Well, she's playing theater so this could be some kind of acting or movie..hahah....!...

After coming home from italy, i had the urge to draw with watercolors again. I was once more so impressed by the Blacksad comics that I had to challenge watercolors again...

As you might know, I really want to make some WWII romance story someday...maybe even colored. But after trying to do one page it might be...just ink in the future...The first two panels are really sh...Well the faces could be better. With natural media, I just have limited skillz to retuch faces or correct things like HELL WRONG anatomy.
(no refs, no look ups...so the uniforms plus backgrounds are not historically correct)

Over the years I've been planning, reading and thinking for the "When Worlds Collide" story. And I also was searching for opening and ending themes as we all know from animes. There are three songs which stucked into my head since then.

1.Opening "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000.
(The comic was named after this one! Though the music might be a little too badass...)
2. 2ndOpening "Burn" by Finch.
Yeah, in case there'll be more seasons, a second opening! Haha
3.Ending "Existentialism On Prom Night" by StraylightRun

Well well well! First of all, i wish you a happy new year my friends.

Time for the first post 2011! Since the last one, I got something like a very deep black hole when it comes to ideas for pictures. Out of inspiration and not very motivated at all :/ It's kinda hard to draw straight on the comic... So I started skimming some japanese fashion magazines and tried to do some sketches...very rough D:

As I mentioned in some other post, I want to do character profiles. So I'm also intending to draw colored pictures of each cast member.

A few weeks ago, I've had some sort of watercolor flash. I had the urge to color something with this media again and even wanted to do some short comic scene..but..I stopped after two panels T_T;

If you live in Germany, you have at least a chance of once in a week to watch something about WWII on some history channel. Last weekend i watched a broadcast about the end of WWII and how the allies occupied Germany. I remembered that the american soldiers shared some... chocolate with the folk. So this idea was born:

Oh yeah Shojo/romance and WWII...to me a naerly too perfect combination :c
In my head there´s a whole story that comes along with this picture.... So I hope to make some sort of "illustraion series" with those ideas.

I always wanted to redraw some pictures...Just to see if i would draw them different then before hopefully to became better over the years D: But i was always afraid of the outcome...

Well, here a little project i currently have in mind. It´s gonna a be a little "Photobook". A clever tool offers you help with creating a more or less proper Artbook. Ok originally, it is used for normal Photobooks like for vacation photos or whatever. But hey, don´t care :D Many pages are still blank and for this i have to draw much more...D: (total 26 pics) It´s just a little try how my pictures would be like if they´re printed

As may you noticed I´m a litte bit in SPN Fever.

Finally reading some fanfiction again, too. Gladly i found some really awesome SPN/Silent hill crossover Story. Very inspiring. I like the idea that Dean could be the Manifestation of Pyramid Head due his time in hell.

(Yeah Dean honey you´re a bitch to draw! Both will be adjusted to the background later..D:)

Dammit...fucking Comic Works screws all my outlines up ._.! The ink keeps bleeding and it seems shaky D: But well i guess it´s the paper, too.....I use too much rubber so the surface gets easily rough T_T
But yay finally i can use Fun Shirts ...i love them so much! But still not satisfied enough to show the whole pages at all I´m sorry .-.

One more Character from my story. She used to be a bar-dancer and...well a woman for certain hours ;)...now i decided to let her join the theater group!...I guess she´ll be sort of a mentor for Eileen (blonde girl above :D) But not for naughty things..xD!
