Let me tell you a story...

about how the new comic was created! .....
Finally I started drawing a romance story! München 1945 is finally online! And in english!

I always wanted to draw something romancy....but never had the courage to do it. I just thought about the tons of mainstream romance/shojo stories and said to myself "Why should my story be different? " And the first idea was indeed mainstream

First rough sketches. Very inspired by the TV Show "Downton Abbey". Setting England 1920. Rich girl fells in love with a servant. But of course, this relationship is a true "no-go" by that time. Simple story about how they meet, fell in love, spending time..etc...But i wasn't that satisfied. And so I began to skim a view history books about WWII. I always loved the idea placing a romance story during or after war. And where -I do believe- "Love at the first sight" sill existed.The female role could be acting strong but also weak. Plus i could take a setting which I'm familiar with: Munich.
Searching for facts was so much fun and I'm hoping to do a intersting and loving romance story!

And yeah the girl looks like Eileen from my other comic "When Worlds Collide". I'm so sorry for being that uninspired. But the thing is, I need a character which I'm familiar with. It's very important to me for drawing romance :) Still, I'll try not to copy her 100%.
But I thought of it as a little Spin-Off to "When Worlds Collide" You might ask how? Well, she's playing theater so this could be some kind of acting or movie..hahah....!...

Dunno if I'll keep this style. But drawing like this, I get pages done very quickly!....Still I don't like the character design that much...will work on it :)

What I've been up to...

Well, mostly working on my Comic. But since weeks I've got another story in mind. As mentioned in my last post, I want to draw a romance story. Not quite sure if I can do a good one but I will try =)

Yeah she looks like Eileen...but I so wanted her for an "alternate universe".
Story takes place in Munich after the end of WWII =)
